Fundraiser for Keith Rutkowski
Donation protected
Please Read (12/15/22): With the passing of Keith, we've been notified by GoFundMe that we must update all donors as the purpose of the original fundraiser has changed. All donations will now be used to cover the cost of the funeral/memorial and any other final expenses incurred by the family. You will be allowed to request a refund of your donation, but we are hopeful you will support the family with these unexpected costs as we all navigate such an immense tragedy.
Thank you to everyone for all their love and support.
Hi, my name is Lauren Runco Bevilacqua, and I’ve known Keith for 21 years. Over that time I’ve seen how truly selfless he is when it comes to his friendships. No matter what he might be going through he always puts his friends first and never expects anything in return. That is why I’m putting together this GoFundMe on his behalf. He needs his friends now, more than ever.
On Thursday, November 17, Keith went to the ER complaining of severe chest pain and having difficulty breathing. He was admitted at that time and has been there ever since undergoing a battery of tests. At this time his diagnosis includes Pneumococcal pneumonia and COVID. We are hopeful he will be discharged before the Thanksgiving holiday but his discharge date is still up in the air. Once he is home, we are still unsure as to when he will be able to return to work and since he is a self-employed stylist, he won’t have any income coming in for the foreseeable future. To assist with his extensive medical costs for this hospital stay and his inability to work during what is his busiest time of the year, any bit you can donate will help more than you can imagine. I’m sure many of you have been on the receiving end of Keith’s generosity — whether it be a free haircut, him rearranging his schedule to squeeze you in, home renovations, or just showing up for you when you needed a friend, this is the least we can do for him in return. I know this is a difficult financial time for many, so please only give what you can, and as always if nothing else, please pray Keith gets better soon.
Thank you and God Bless!
