Fundraiser for Kelly Dafni

My daughter Kelly has been battling Crohn’s disease for the past 10 years, but in the past few years things have gotten progressively worse. She has been hospitalized at least 8 times and since last July had underwent four very extensive surgery’s. The last one removed the remaining parts of her digestive system and will hopefully get her on the road to better health.

Throughout this she has continued to hold down a job which was a challenge to say the least, especially living in Brooklyn. The job she has now has been incredibly supportive and understanding, however she is facing about 8 weeks of recovery from this last surgery, and will not be receiving any type of pay. She has managed to save some money, but obviously will not be enough to carry her through. 

She he has amassed so much medical debt even with insurance that it is a daunting fact. I am fortunate to have been able to help her through the years, but am getting stretched thin myself.  I have debated setting up a GoFundMe campaign, but was encouraged to do so by several friends and family. Any donations will certainly be appreciated.
