Kristin Melton's Cancer Fight

Kristin is facing a life-threatening battle with Cancer for the second time in her life. Kristin is a strong and dedicated 34-year-old Mother of two young boys. She is also a Cancer survivor that battled Hodgkin’s Lymphoma 12 years ago, but unfortunately, this month she received the diagnosis from her doctor that her Cancer is possibly back in her mediastinum and in her bone marrow. There are three masses found in her chest between her lungs. One of the masses is very large.

This past weekend 6/4/23, Kristin had a chest biopsy, lumbar puncture, and bone marrow biopsy to learn more about the found masses. The chest biopsy resulted in a pneumothorax due to her lung needing to be deflated which complicated her recovery. Fortunately, the cancer did not spread to the bone marrow but she should receive the results from the other tests by the end of the week. She is facing a long and challenging battle and is worried about being there for her family and boys.

Through all of this, she has remained strong while keeping up her job responsibilities. The money raised through this GoFundMe will help Kristin pay for her medical expenses, child care, and other living expenses. It will also help her to be able to spend more time with her sons and provide them with the support they need during this difficult time.
