Fundraiser for Leslie (Cecilia) Lightfoot

Hello, My name is Kathleen Ream. For those of you who don’t know me, I am friends with Leslie through a group called The Society for Creative Anachronism. Within that group, Leslie is known as Lady Cecilia Lightfoot. As some of you know… Leslie is very ill. She is currently in the hospital waiting to be approved for a liver transplant. It is imperative for her to have this transplant to survive her illness. There are a few things that her Liver Surgery Team is looking at in order to decide on whether or not to approve her for the surgery.

First they have to decide if she is a good candidate for the transplant which includes many factors.

Second she need a support team in place for after the transplant. For anyone interested in helping in that effort, please connect with me as I am coordinating that effort. This will take many hands as to not overwhelm the few people we currently have in place.

And finally, we need to show that she has some financial means. Which is what brings me to gofundme. For those of you who do not know, Leslie has not been able to work for some time as she was her mothers full time caregiver. Her mother, Joan Lightfoot, passed from Cancer a few months ago. Unfortunately, even though Leslie was her beneficiary, it may take a while for those funds to be available to Leslie. But we need to be able to show the hospital asap or she will not be approved for the transplant.

And finally… the truth of the matter is finances will be needed to pay her bills and final expenses if she is taken from us.
