Fundraiser for Lucky's ACL Surgery

Hi!

Meet Lucky!! He is an incredible 13 (almost 14) yo golden sweetheart, adopted by the amazing Leslie, in the spring of 2009 when he was 2.  Lucky is a very healthy dog who lives a life full of adventures & exploring, but on the morning of January 18th he tore the cruciate ligament in his hind right leg running around in his front yard. 

After spending the day at Dove Lewis Animal Hospital in Portland, Or. on Jan 20th, Leslie was informed that he would require surgery in order to walk again. 

This surgery costs between $4,000 - $6,000, but because of Lucky’s age it will cost on the higher end of the spectrum. This does not include the cost of x-rays, consultation, or rehabilitation. Unfortunately, like so many others the pandemic has put Leslie in a tough financial position unable to pay for the surgery & upfront expenses. 


Lucky is currently unable to walk, needs assistance for eating, and using the bathroom. He will be scheduled for ACL surgery in mid-March, as it is fortunately not an emergency surgery, but one needed for him to continue living a happy life. 

Donations will go toward the surgery and any GoFundMe processing fees. Receipts will be posted for transparency and any leftover donations will go toward a nonprofit (TBD). 

If you've been fortunate enough to meet Leslie and Lucky, you know how caring & loving this pair is. They deserve relief & getting through this process as smoothly as possible!
