Fundraiser for Maddie McDermott & Family

At this point the doctors hope to have Maddie home for thanksgiving. She continues to lose weight and they are increasing her nutrition intake through her picc line to keep her heading in the right direction. Due to an infection in her intestines she can’t have any real food. Keep her in your thoughts and prayers and send big love and support their way.

Hi, my name is Sara Neal and I am a close friend of Laurie Scull. A lot of you may know Laurie from her time in Evesham schools or at Evesham summer camps or even as the “mask lady” who outfitted our community with masks during the pandemic.

Laurie alongside her husband Keith, works tirelessly for her children Mason and Maddie. We often will have long conversations about ways to help them and she always does the same for me. She’s just that type of mom and friend.

Many of you may know that Maddie has been battling many illnesses over the past few years. Maddie is diagnosed with Lupus, Sjogrens and most recently severe Crohn’s disease. Due to this recent diagnosis, Maddie has landed in the hospital for an extended time and we all know what that means…bills, upon bills…..stress for them all and for Laurie specifically an inability to work.

I put this fundraiser together just to help them out in the short term with expenses and medical bills and to let them know just how many in our community support them.

Maddie loves making tik toks and Taylor Swift just like most 8th grade girls but she’s having a hard time. So I would really appreciate you all showing her and my special friend Laurie some love.
