Fundraiser for Beverly's (Mango) Medical Bills

Beverly (Mango) contracted the Delta variant of Covid while volunteering in the hospital (they contact traced her, the Delta variant is the dangerous one, she's fully vaccinated). She hasn't had Covid before, but has asthma, so it's really affecting her lungs. Tests now show that Covid had damaged her lungs. It started in her lungs. All of the sudden she woke up one day unable to breathe properly, her body started to shut down. Tried to get out of bed and collapsed and was rushed via ambulance to the Emergency Room. She is currently in the ICU because her lungs are not functioning well enough to allow her to breathe on her own. Beverly is currently on a ventilator. She has no family or parents to help her once she is released from the hospital. I am her life long friend and her power of attorney. Her insurance company informed me that not all the care she is receiving at the hospital will be covered. Donations will go towards a breathing machine doctors say she will need while she sleeps until her lungs get stronger, prescription copays, and rent until she's able to get back to work.

As a professional musician, once the pandemic hit she was out of work, as all venues were shut and the country was told to shelter in place. She took to new avenues of employment to make ends meet in education on Zoom. As the musical guests for elementary schools, scouts and libraries, you could see her passion for music shine through. As restrictions eased she used her knowledge to start giving wildlife and environmental conservation tours, working with youth and incorporating her music into this.

She has dedicated her life to volunteer work to help the community. Volunteers her time working with youth at the orphanage, putting on shows for seniors at the senior centers. Also runs a wildlife species conservation program working hands on with animals. Her work may not pay much money, but her payment comes from bringing joy to the eyes of a child, helping animals, and bringing music to people all over the world.

Many of you know of her senior cat. Before her mother passed away she trained him to be a service animal, put her life on hold and took care of mom until she passed. Had him trained as a therapy animal, bringing him to the hospitals to sit with cancer patients receiving infusions of chemotherapy, as well as to the local children's hospital. As a therapy animal, takes her cat from room to room, where patients are able to pet and cuddle the cat as well as having a friendly face to talk to.

She always tells me that she wants to dedicate her life to making the world a better place. The world needs more people like her in it. She is not one to ask for help, instead focusing on helping others. Beverly will need financial help to cover the medical expenses that her insurance does not cover. I'm using her email account to set up the GoFundMe, that's why it says she organized it. All of her jobs are physical labor jobs, which she won't be able to go back to right away, her lungs need to heal. She has dedicated her life to helping others, let's help her heal and get back to that person you all know with smiles so warm that they glow, laughs all the time, and dances like everyone is watching.
