Help Richard McHan's family after AML Leukemia

Our father, Richard McHan, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2022,  unexpectedly. He was healthy and active. He could never sit still. He was taken to the ER Wednesday, March 9, for what we thought was pneumonia, but after blood work Acute Leukemia was suspected. He was transported Thursday night to St. David's South Austin Medical Clinic and they confirmed (AML) Acute Myeloid Leukemia. After that everything progressed faster than anticipated. A bone marrow biopsy was done and they started chemotherapy Saturday evening. We were all ready to fight the cancer. The Dr. told us he was already very sick, but we weren't ready to give up the fight. Sunday morning he had respiratory failure and was moved to the ICU and intubated. Shortly after he went into cardiac arrest, but was brought back. We made an effort to start dialysis to help his kidneys, but we didn't even get the chance to start. We're all still in shock. Our father was dearly loved and will be missed more than I can put into words.
