Fundraiser for Michael Roman (Mr. Roman)

Hi, my name is William K. Ngor and on behalf of myself and some friends, I am starting this GoFundMe for not only a teacher of mine but a person that I can genuinely call my friend.

Michael, or as I know him as (Mr. Roman) was a teacher for 25 years at Galileo High School, where he taught English and his own course titled "Disney Lit." There are too many memories to reminisce about, but one thing is clear: He will always extend a hand, in whatever way he can. Throughout my time in high school, I have seen Mr. Roman go above and beyond to help not only my classmates but random students that simply needed to vent. There is no other teacher nor person that I know that has inspired me more to go above and beyond, and I am fortunate to not only call him my mentor, but my friend.

Mr. Roman recently underwent treatment for a bacterial infection that required extensive treatment, which required him to spend nights at the hospital. This unknown infection led to the requirement for drainage and antibiotics. Additionally this infection has led to two ER hospitalizations that have required overnight stays. Michael is recovering well but it all comes at an expense. All money donated will be used towards compensating for Michael's medical bills. So far the expenses have totaled to around $5300 and that includes prescription and ER stays. 

Therefore I am reaching out with this GoFundMe as a way to lend a hand to the man that has lent his to so many others.
