Fundraiser for Patrick Francis

Hi my name is Kelly, and I am a longtime friend of the Francis/Clancy family. On December 2nd, the family lost their beloved mother, Therese, unexpectedly. This loss was absolutely devastating to her youngest son, and lifelong caregiver, Patrick. On that terrible evening, Pat came home after being out, to find his mother had passed away in the family home. He is absolutely overwhelmed and grief stricken. His mom had not been ill when he left for work that morning - they assume she passed of a stroke or heart attack.

In their time together, especially during their weekly drives on Saturdays to go shopping, Pat and his mom had plenty of time to have conversations about life. Therese shared with Patrick, that when her time came, she would generously be donating her body to scientific research. She would always say, “your body is just a vessel. When your soul leaves to go to heaven, it could be put to practical use - the use of medical research.” Her hope was that in death, she could help others. Due to the length of time she had been deceased, the donation was unfortunately unable to be made. This has now resulted in unplanned funeral expenses.

Since Therese’s passing, Pat has come to realize she was experiencing long time financial difficulties. Therese’s wishes were for Patrick to assume the expenses of the family home, and continue to live there without her. Being left with unforeseen expenses and debt, Patrick is experiencing tremendous grief and stress. He wants to be able to fulfill his mom’s wishes and continue to live in their home, but isn’t sure he will be able to financially achieve this. My wish is that we, his community of family and friends, might be able to help with this. Pat is just “that guy.” He is always there for the people he loves and respects, and he will do anything he can to help and give back to others. In his time of need I would like to try to help him. I would like for him to see and know that he is greatly loved, and supported by our community. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
