Mount Pearl Masjid: Elevate Faith, Build Home

Assalaamu Alykum,

AL-HUDA Islamic Centre Inc is a registered not-for-profit charity Islamic Organization that seeks to advance the Islamic faith of the people of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Currently, there is no masjid in the Mount Pearl and its surrounding areas that observe the five daily prayers and Jummah prayers. Al-Huda Islamic Centre is currently renting a space for only Jummah (Friday) prayers at the Park Place Community Centre in Mount Pearl.

AIC is in the process of securing a temporal place of worship that will serve residence within the Mount Pearl/Paradise/CBS/Village Mall area. The facility when secured, will be where the five daily prayers and the weekly Jummah (Friday) Prayers will be conducted in accordance with the Islamic faith. The facility would also be used for other Islamic functions such as our bi-weekly lecture series, Quranic studies, etc. It will also serve as a resource Centre where the community can have access to learn about Islam.

We estimate the monthly rental cost to be around $2500 per month and we want to raise the yearly amount of $30,000 for the start.
