Fundraiser for Ron Caissie

Hi!

My name is Aimee and I'm fundraising for our dear friend Ron Cassie. I am an old Flight Attendant colleague of Rons and knowing him, I know he'd give his shirt off his back for anyone in need so I'm very happy to help.

As some of you know, Ron has been diagnosed with Esophagus cancer. He has a CT scan scheduled for December 29th and treatment will start shortly after that in January. The treatment will consist of 21 rounds of intense chemo and radiation simultaneously. A few weeks after treatment he will undergo surgery to remove four inches of his esophagus and a portion of his stomach. During treatment, he will only be able to drink fluids and after surgery, he will have a feeding tube connected to his stomach for quite awhile. This will be a long road of treatment and recovery for Ron.

I would like to help ease a bit of Ron's stress and worry before undergoing treatment and surgery by assisting with collecting some extra funds so he and Sam, his husband, can focus on Ron's recovery. Less stress is the goal here.

Alternatively, if you would like to help out with different errands, drop-offs and specific requests, there will be an app (by the Cancer Society) that will be shared by Ron and Sam with friends and family who are interested in helping out. Get in touch with them if you'd like the link/app!
