Fundraiser for Roy Rangel’s Medical expenses
Donation protected
As you may know Patricia’s husband Roy has been battling Glioblastoma brain cancer for over a year.
Roy was diagnosed on 8/23/2019 and had brain surgery 8/28/2019. Although for 5 months prior he started having symptoms and felt something was wrong. It took numerous test and treatments to confirm this diagnosis. After surgery he started radiation and chemotherapy for six weeks and took time away from work. He did return back to work in November 2019 and continued to work until April 2020 after his last MRI scan showed continued growth despite the chemotherapy he was on. He had to stop chemo after April because of an infection he had because of his compromised immune system. He had pneumonia, sepsis, and meningitis. Although he recovered from this infection which had him in the hospital for 40 days, the tumor continues to grow aggressively and also, now he has other issues because of the growth. Unfortunately he is now under the care of hospice. Roy continues to fight hard everyday.
Roy has always been a loving husband, father and friend. Anyone who knows him, knows he is always willing to help others. Roy is just a happy person. He is always smiling and making a joke.
He always volunteered his time when his boys were young with coaching baseball at all ages. He served on the City of Taylor Housing board for many years and is a member of the Knights of Columbus.
We would like to help Patricia and her family by setting up a GOFUNDME account to help them with the incurring expenses that has put a financial strain on the family. Thank you so much for your continued love, prayers and support.
