Fundraiser for Ryan, Sarah, and Judah Murgatroyd

My name is Aaron Hauck, and I've been friends with Ryan for over a decade. In December 2017, I had the pleasure of a lifetime being the best man in his wedding. We've been through all of it together -- jobs, housing, moving, school, marriages. His sudden death has detonated like a silent bomb, vacuuming up all warmth and joy. Anyone reading this, picturing Ryan in their mind, will immediately be able to relate to that feeling.

Ryan was so many amazing things to so many people. He was a mainstay behind soundboards for bands touring the world. He was an active member of self-help groups, helping to pull other sufferers out of misery. Ryan was the type of friend capable of elevating any situation. A self-contained combustion chamber of cheer, laughs, and personality. Above all else, he was a loving father and husband.

While the wake of his absence in his friend groups is unimaginable, it pales in comparison to the crater left in his family. His wife Sarah is in nursing school and his son Judah will enter 7th grade at the end of the summer. While Sarah has been in school, Ryan had been the only source of income for the family.

The funds collected will go to solely support them. Ryan was in the ICU for several days out of state, a state which the family flew to in crisis. Sarah still needs to finish school and care for Judah. The amount of money you see set as a goal is meant to reflect how truly severe the circumstances are.

I can't count the amount of times I've seen Ryan share fundraiser stories about gear stolen on tour, or medical bills for a friend, or someone trying to get sober needing housing. I'm hoping we can show up in the fashion that Ryan consistently showed up for others.
