Fundraiser for Ted Colby

Donation protected
Hello Everyone,

My best friend, Ted Colby, had lost his job a couple of months ago when his position was eliminated as a result of corporate downsizing.  Since then he has been actively seeking another position within his profession to no avail and recently began collecting unemployment to help pay the bills.

This past Saturday, January 11th, Ted had a stroke in the cerebellum (rear base of the brain) and was in ICU until he was moved into a regular room just today. Ted is doing well but he will require ongoing care for quite a while even after he is released from the hospital. In addition to losing his job, what was also taken from Ted? His health insurance and with a several night stay at the hospital, CT scan and MRI as part of his doctor’s menu, just imagine what he is going to receive for a final invoice from the Concord Hospital. I can feel all of you cringing at the thought of opening that piece of mail. Now you may ask, what was the 3rd negative occurrence since superstition states that bad luck happens in increments of three. Well fate decided to hit him with the 3rd item, which is the fact that since he can't meet his unemployment obligations at this time, he is now going to lose the only source of income he has.

On Ted's behalf, also for his girlfriend Trudie and her son Brandon whom both live with Ted, I started a GoFundMe campaign, which is linked directly to Ted’s bank account. Perhaps you or someone close to you has been in a similar situation? Know how tough it can get financially. We pray and hope that Ted will continue to regain his strength and abilities such as the small steps that it takes to walk. Hope for his brain to rewire. Hope his slowly returning speech progresses. All the hopes for Ted getting better each day so that hopefully in the near future, Ted will be able to return to his beloved career. Ted believes, Ted has hope, but for now Ted could really use our help. Any contributions will go far in his current and future care and it will also help to prevent him from becoming financially crippled while he is trying to get back on his feet.

Please find it in your heart to send Ted and his family a donation, regardless of how large or small it may be. Also, I am pretty sure that I did not reach everyone who knows and cares about Ted’s well-being so please share this post with your friends and family. This will ensure that Ted will receive all the love and support he truly needs and deserves during this crisis.

Please help me help my best friend.

With much appreciation and sincerity, I truly thank you,
Christopher DeVol
