We're doing Great North Run for The Brain Tumour Charity!

On 8th September 2024, me and my best friend, Rebecca, will be taking part in the Great North Run. This is a half marathon in Newcastle. We were lucky enough to secure places via the ballot but want to raise some money for The Brain Tumour Charity in memory of my beloved grandad, Peter Byrne, who died in 2020 from glioblastoma. This is an incredibly aggressive Brain cancer with the average survival rate being just 15 months. It can affect anyone of any age and it is largely unknown what triggers these tumours to form.
Peter was more than just a grandad to me, he helped to bring me up for the first 10 years of my life. This is for you grandad ❤

Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money in aid of The Brain Tumour Charity and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
More information about The Brain Tumour Charity: The Brain Tumour Charity is the leader in its field, funding world-class research, providing support and information and raising awareness of brain tumours. It is dedicated to beating this disease, the biggest cancer killer of people under 40 in the UK.
