Fundraiser for the Cavan Monaghan Palliative Care Team

As some of you may know, our incredible mam passed away in November to cancer. There are no words to describe how this has been for all of us, it has been the hardest time of our lives. The Women’s Mini Marathon was an event that held a special place in mams heart. For over 25 years, mam completed the women’s mini marathon in Dublin to raise money for charity because this is the type of person mam was. Mam dedicated her life to helping and supporting people, even when she herself was struggling so much with her own illness, she always cared so deeply for others. She showed up for others every single day and I could not be more proud to be her daughter. This year I have decided to follow in her footsteps and do the same for a wonderful organisation, the ‘Cavan Monaghan Palliative Care Team’. I am completing the Mini Marathon on the 2nd of June in mams memory to raise money for this wonderful charity. This team supported mam so much in the last year of her life both practically and emotionally, and were a beacon of light to us all during the worst time of our life. Their kindness, patience and hard work will never be forgotten. Any donations would really be appreciated x
