Fundraiser for the children of Officer Emi Arteaga
Donation protected
I am the oldest daughter of Officer (Emi)gdio Arteaga. He had 4 children, 2 daughters, and 2 sons, ages 21, 20, 17, and 14. He recently passed away after a fight with cancer. He battled stage 4 Mantel Cell Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma for 6 months after getting COVID-19 in August of 2020.
My dad was a very loving, kind, and strong man, who would do anything for his children. He was happiest when he was with his family. My siblings and I miss him dearly. We miss all the happy, silly moments we had throughout our lives and all that was in store for our future with him. He was the most hardworking man and my siblings and I will work hard everyday to make him proud.
His family was more than just his children, siblings, and extended family, it also included the brothers and sisters he created by working as a Correctional Officer and Parole Agent. He made me and my siblings proud everyday and we would like to honor his life with the people that meant the most to him, all his family.
I am raising money to be able organize a funeral on his behalf. I hope that funeral services can include a honor guard for his time working for the state. I hope to I get the opportunity honor my dad's wishes to be able to bury him in the same cemetery as both his parents.
Money raised will be also be used to support his 4 children as he was one of the sole providers for us. My brother and I are also currently in college and my other siblings have hopes of attending college as well. Any amount will greatly help my family not just while we are hurting right now, but for the rest of our lives.
