To lose a child is every parent's nightmare. When it is unexpected and tragic-it's all the worse. On February 5, 2023, John Viera left this world much too soon. He was a loving son to his parents, Desiree and Roger and an incredible brother to his sisters, Lexi and Mia. He leaves behind many cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents and great-grandparents who also loved John deeply and will now be forced to navigate life without him.

John touched the heart of everyone he met, starting with his big smile. Oh, that smile and those baby blues could win you over with just one look. He was the friendliest kid who was smarter than most and kinder than many. The world needs more people like John. Someone who only wanted to see the good in others, someone who loved to laugh, someone who lived a life full of endless possibilities.

John had a deep capacity to love and forgive but unfortunately, this world can be a cruel place and a bright light like Johns wasn't able to outshine the darkness. The people with the biggest smiles often carry the heaviest burdens. His memory will never be forgotten however, he will live on as the voice for others. He will be the voice for every child who suffers quietly, for every parent who has to burden the loss of saying goodbye, and for every person who struggles to find peace. John will be their voice and he will live on because he deserved to, and his family deserves him to.

Roger, Desiree, Lexi and Mia are absolutely devastated at the loss of their son and brother. It will take many months for this trauma to set in and many, many more to start the healing process.

It is for this reason, that we have established this fund. This will go to lessen the financial burden that this family will face while they try to pick up the pieces and start to live their new heartbreaking reality.

No amount is too small or too big. This family is now enduring an unspeakable, unexpected tragedy and we can not leave them behind.
