Fundraiser for Trevett & the Peterson Family

We appreciate you coming here to read Trevett's story and your consideration in helping the Peterson family with their current expenses. Right now Trevett is going through treatment regarding many unknowns including concerns of Leukemia and spots found. With all of this comes financial stress. All money raised will go towards medical expenses including deductibles, copays and items not covered by insurance such as gas, hotel stays, time away from work, and meals. We will try our best to keep you updated throughout this time and we sincerely appreciate anyone that helps share Trevett's story by sharing this page.

 

Monday 11-1-2021

 

We had our PET scan today. Having the port made it so much easier - Trevett was awesome and did so well even though he had to fast from 4am until noon.

The hospital has a Child Life specialist that has been to all of his testing appointments so far to help keep him busy and us calm. Today we learned that she is a member at Trinity in Wausau and knew some of our friends. Having her with us was a blessing, and Trevett really likes the toys she brings.

The doctor called tonight to share that his spinal tap from Friday did not show any signs of Leukemia (which is such a relief). His PET scan did show the spots we are continuing to find on his head and a few on his neck. Other than those spots there were no other masses found. We have limited details as this was a quick phone call, we will be heading in to Marshfield again tomorrow to look everything over with her and then hear more about a treatment plan. Most likely receiving his first IV chemo treatment tomorrow afternoon as an outpatient. (trying to avoid the RSV going around the pediatric department at the hospital) thankfully Trevett already had RSV a month ago. (God must have known…)

While this continues to be a true nightmare- we also are regularly seeing God working through different situations and people placed in our path.

The daily reminders from those who love us and our little sweetheart are so very helpful. We are forever grateful for every single prayer said for Trevett and we ask for them to continue ALL THE TIME. We were reminded yesterday by a good friend that “God is already in our tomorrow, so we don’t have to be…” and that is what I’ll be taking with me as I close my eyes tonight.
