BBA’s autumn event – Saturday 25 September 2021

Bandstand Beds Association (BBA) is a volunteer-led food growing project based on Clapham Common. It began in 2013 with a few raised beds beside the café at the Bandstand and a handful of enthusiastic gardeners. From these humble beginnings BBA and now has three growing spaces on the Common, including a large community garden – a horticultural oasis on Windmill Drive!

BBA members garden on Saturdays, Mondays and Wednesday evenings during the summer months, often rounding the off with a shared meal prepared in our shipping container field kitchen.

This last year has been difficult for all of us –  in the garden, we've had to limit numbers attending sessions and cancel workshop and events But with Covid restrictions easing we are now optimistic about planning events again.

This year we hope to make our annual autumn feast an extra-special event, holding a Feast & Car-Free Day celebration on Saturday 25 September. Along with feastilicious food made using our homegrown produce, there will be gardening, wildlife and other fun-filled activities.

To make all this even happen we need to raise £2,000. Can you help us achieve our goal for this community event on Clapham Common?
