Fundraiser Help Megan Dooley Battle Cancer

As most of you know my name is Ruth Ann Sewick. It is with genuine sincerity and humility that I come pleading for help for Megan who needs financial help to fight this cancer she was diagnosed with.

Megan is receiving treatment at Piedmont Hospital and cancer center in Atlanta, GA. At this point we know the lung cancer has spread to her liver and lymph nodes and need to stop it from spreading further but also the hospital is requiring more tests to be run to determine her treatment. Her treatment can’t start till these tests are run. There is currently no cure but there is treatment and it must start immediately.

Megan has been unable to work due to this stage 4 lung cancer and is in considerable physical pain. As a result of being out of work, paying for the pain medicine has also proven to be quite difficult.

Along with her two other sisters, Megan has been my pride and joy from the moment she came into this world. She’s been everything a mother could ask for. I’ve seen her overcome struggle after struggle all the while maintaining a positive attitude and a joyful heart. Most importantly, she’s touched every person’s life she’s ever known for the better.

She has two beautiful children who are my precious grandchildren, Bree age 10 and Bryce age 4. Megan loves them dearly and they need her as I need her and her family needs her. Please help not only Megan but help her adorable children and my grandchildren in healing their mother, my daughter.

As a parent, I can’t possibly put into words how devastated this has made me. Any parent out there can understand wanting to do anything to protect your child. But even if you aren’t a parent, this cancer couldn’t have happened to a nicer and more beautiful soul than Megan. And I’m asking for help from the bottom of my heart.

Megan’s medical bills are swiftly approaching and to give an idea of what she needs done, she’s got to have upfront $12,000 for a brain MRI, a P.E.T. full body scan test, and a tissue test. These are to ensure cancer hasn’t spread anywhere else in her body including her brain to determine best treatment. This doesn’t include her treatment costs it’s just the tests before her treatment can begin.

In addition, Megan’s stay in the hospital at Piedmont hospital was lengthy and this money will help go to ensure she can pay down those medical bills. Also, she’s been out of work since being diagnosed and this will help her be able to recover from all the days lost she hasn’t been able to work.

To pay her medical bills and get her tests and treatment options to treat the lung cancer she’s looking at a minimum of $100,000.00. We really are in need of your help and don’t ask this lightly.
