Fundraiser for Mr. Kuldeep Singh

Hello, We are requesting this fundraiser for Mr. Kuldeep Singh (63) who is visiting Canada from India. Mr. Kuldeep arrived in Vancouver, BC in February to support his daughter who was single handedly raising his grand-daughter. He even got medical insurance in case of an emergency.
Things were smooth for the family until last month when Mr. Kuldeep felt weak. We quickly rushed him to the hospital. The doctors advised us to get his kidneys examined immediately. Given his visitor status in Canada, he is not entitled to MSP in BC and we were relying on the private travel insurance. As we were completing necessary procedures with the insurance company to make a claim on his policy, we paid for the necessary tests ourselves . It was discovered that his kidney functions have dropped below 7% as of Sept 11. Doctors immediately asked us to put him on dialysis. All this time, we have been battling with the insurance company to approve his medical claim, however, it was denied. We can't wait any longer as any delays could mean significantly worse consequences for his health. He also has a polycystic kidney disease which causes cysts on the kidneys.
We are battling with the insurance company to approve his dialysis costs. The insurance company has denied his claim and there is no hope of receiving any support from insurance company anytime soon. As Raman is Mr. Kuldeep's only child and the sole earner in the family, our savings have dried up and she has no more money to spend. We have already paid over $10,000 for his treatments. He will be needing 3 dialysis sessions per week to stay alive and each session costs approximately $2000. We don't have the option to fly him back to India as he is not healthy enough to risk the flight.
Mr. Kuldeep is the sole support for his daughter and has been an important figure in his grand-daughters development. Their grand-daughter has shown immense social and cognitive development while under her grand-fathers care. Mr. Kuldeep is the backbone of the family who has stood by his community's side through thick and thin. This is a very overwhelming time for Kuldeep's family and has caused them extreme stress, worry and sadness. They are a hardworking and sincere family who need our help in these trying times. Our collective effort and goodwill can help a kind hearted gentleman in his struggle for life. Relying upon the goodwill of all good people, we are submitting this appeal for help. We urge everyone to do their share with helping the family with donations.
