Please consider offering much needed help to Charlene Aguirre, RN, & her FAMILY
It is with sadness in our hearts that we write this note to you.
Our dear friend, colleague and mentor, Charlene Aguirre, RN, who works alongside us in the RIH Emergency Dept., is currently struggling tremendously. Her husband Joe, of over 34 years was diagnosed with terminal cancer in February, 2019. And after a recent visit with his treating physician, he & Charlene were told that the situation is much more dire than they had anticipated. Charlene and her family are investing all their time and energy into being present for Joe, and like many of you, we want to demonstrate our love & support to Charlene and her family: Siobhan, Brooklyn and Emma.
Charlene and Joe are the sole caretakers of their two granddaughters and their disabled daughter. Joe previously worked as a commercial fisherman and still enjoys fishing, spending time at a cabin in the mountains, surrounded by his family. Joe also enjoys going on road trips, driving his truck, and being present with his family.
He is a grandfather, father, and a loving husband to his sweetheart, Charlene. Your support is greatly needed at this time to help with medical and living expenses, and help keep this family afloat during this most difficult time.
