Fundraiser supporting LGBTQIA rights in Namibia

VOICES OF SOLIDARITY is a fundraiser event supporting LGBTQIA+ rights in Namibia. Recently anti-gay laws have been passed in Namibia targeting the queer community, promoting hate speech that has sparked acts of violence and even death amongst our community. These are violations of Human Rights. Equal Namibia is a queer liberation movement based in Namibia that has started a fundraiser to challenge these laws in court and we are supporting that cause from abroad.

As a queer Namibian artist living in the diaspora, I have initiated these events to support an equal Namibian society where people regardless of their gender identity and sexuality deserve equal rights and safety. Together with partners LØU, Tolhuistuin, Saarein and De Nijverheid we are putting together these fundraiser events.

A stellar line up of artists from around the globe will perform in two cities Amsterdam and Utrecht in the Netherlands, raising their voices in solidarity. Below you find the line-up and locations.
