Fundraiser to help Antonio’s parents with costs
Donation protected
On 6/16 Antonio Mancilla traveled to Colorado to await his nephew’s birth with family. Over the course of the first few days of his visit we noticed he was lethargic, weak and could hardly eat. Antonio suddenly lost his ability to walk, talk, control movement of his arms and hands and his vision was reduced by half. Antonio was taken to the Colorado Childrens Hospital where he was admitted and is currently staying. He underwent an MRI and was diagnosed with a Demyelinating Disease at just 15 years old. He started 1 hour long intravenous steroid treatments on 6/24 and we are seeing some improvement, he will need 4 more before he can be transferred back home. Antonio has a long road ahead of him for recovery and returning to his teenage life. He will require to continue treatments every 6 months with a neurologist to prevent flare ups and maintain symptoms. His parents have traveled from Texas to Colorado to be with him during his stay at the Children’s hospital, this means they are out of work with no pay. This go fund me is to help the cost of food, travel and left over medical bills that will come from this discovery. We pray for Antonio to make a healthy recovery and keep his spirits up. We thank you for donating, if you can’t we appreciate prayers and sharing with other people.
