Fundraiser to help Darryl with ALS needs

My dear friend of 10+ years, Darryl Cephas, who is 35, has recently been diagnosed with ALS. Many of you may know him around Dallas/Fort Worth from home improvement (Lowe’s in Little Elm, TX 2012-2017 and again 2020-2021 while fighting health problems until he was unable to work), interior designing, remodeling, and as a store manager at The Paw Depot in Frisco, TX 2018-2020 for animal nutrition and dog training. Darryl always treated customers like they were his own family with his gregarious attitude and being overly informative. He loved to help people, often consulting off of the job free of charge if he knew a customer needed it.

If you know him more profoundly than that, you know his history with childhood adversity and lack of family relations. His customers and friends were his family. He has battled health issues silently since early 2019 and finally received his diagnosis on April 14th, 2022. It has been devastating to the people around him, but we don’t collectively have the tools to support him the proper way an ALS patient needs to be comfortable. Motorized Wheelchair, alternative communication tools, a wheelchair accessible van, and various other residential needs as soon as possible.
