Fundraiser to purchase custom Taiko drum bags.

We are Kazenodaichi Taiko (KND Taiko), North Western Ohio's only Taiko music ensemble! Taiko is a Japanese style of percussion using primarily large wood and hide drums. Our ensemble started as a university class in 2006 when the majority of our drums (called chudaiko) were hand made.

Kazenodaichi Taiko became its own LLC in 2019 and currently consists of 4 performing members and two apprentices. We offer classes and work shops to our community as well as various public and private performances throughout the year. As a small group we are unable to perform as often as we like so any money we make goes back to maintaining our equipment. As the equipment gets older, this gets more expensive.

The chudaiko are the heart and soul of our group so we are fundraising to purchase custom made bags for six of our drums. These bags have to be individualized to best protect each unique drum and purchasing them is currently outside of our budget. We are hoping to purchase the bags from a fellow Taiko player and small business owner- TaikoWithToni. We have purchased several products from Toni and are confident that her product will be high quality and long lasting. We have determined the $2000 we are asking for will get us the 6 bags and cover shipping and handling.
