Hi Everyone,

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to have a read of this.

As many of you know, Olly was recently victim of a burglary which has stripped him of the tools that he needs to earn a living. In this burglary it was initially estimated that £10,000 worth of Snap-On tools were taken, £1500 worth of chainsaws and his prized bike and kit. As time has gone on more and more has been found to be missing pushing the total up to nearer the £20,000 mark. The police have been able to do absolutely nothing to aid in catching whoever it was and they closed the case pretty much immediately.

Over 1200 of you have shared and seen his Facebook post which tells me that a lot of you care and want to see him back up and running.

You all know him to be an incredibly hard worker who has built himself from the ground up and this incident has devastated him and those who know him. From how the burglary was orchestrated it would inticate that this is someone who knows him or has visited him before which makes it even more appauling.

Now I would like to note that Olly has been very reluctant to take help, to the extent that he hasn't read this prior to posting, as he doesn't want to seen to be taking from others or have the feeling that this is charity. But I truly believe that there are enough people out there who know how hard he works, how kind and genuine he is and would be willing to lend a hand.

Many of you pop down to my Mum's butty van on Full Sutton industrial estate (Sharon's Catering, who came up with this idea) and after talking with some of you she got the impression that this really is the case and there is hope that we can all come together to raise the money he needs to get back on his feet and get him working again.

The support that I've seen before with campaigns like this genuinely gives you faith in the community around you and I know this would mean the world to him. All money raised will go towards replacing the tools Olly needs to work and I know he would be made up no matter how much is raised.

Initially I've set the target as £1,500, I'm hoping we can smash this and do it 10 times over and I'm appealing to anyone who is willing to help. Whether it's £1, £10, £100 or more, anything will help. As Olly himself put it, even a few quid to get some spanners would go a long way. Please share with anyone and eveyone you know who you think would be kind enough to help him.

Disclaimer: Although this is set up in my name all funds will go directly into Olly's account, I feel this is the best way to ensure that everyone can see that the money is going to the right place. In the event that is has to go to me then Olly (just seen the note about it going to the organiser when donating), screenshots of the payment and transfer to him will be made available!
