Fundraising for Art Palomarez's burial
Donation protected

Art Palomarez passed away the evening of Sunday, January 9th.
To tell you more about Art, I’d like to share my story and perspective…
My name is Jessica Saucedo, and I am a really close family member of two of Art Palomarez’s grandchildren—Danielle and Nathan Saucedo.
Art and I met when I was about to begin college. I moved into his home alongside his daughter, Michelle, his son-in-law (my brother), Jesse, and Nathan and Danielle. Over the years, he opened up more to me. When he did, he showed his multiple sides, especially his jokester side, and I know we’ll all miss that. He loved to play his country music and Western movies, while spending some other time researching his family roots and heritage. He was truly a family man in his own way. He always had a picture of all of his loved ones as his phone wallpaper. It was the sweetest thing.
In 2015, Art lost his daughter, Michelle, to cancer; and in 2018, Jesse (Michelle’s partner and the father of two of his grandchildren) also passed away. Throughout all those years, I saw Art continuously and consistently support his grandchildren. So, for him to have also passed has been extremely painful for his grandchildren, especially.
Only weeks before he passed, he had been diagnosed with cancer. He passed in his sleep.
Art had wishes to have a veterans burial, as he was in the Army as a young man. He will be laid to rest at the Riverside Veterans Cemetery.
There are some things that need to be prepared prior to his burial, which include purchasing a casket ($3,000) and funeral package to prepare his body (around $5,000).
I created this GoFundMe campaign to gather financial support for Art and his grandchildren. This is the very least I can do for him, as Art was so kind to let me into his home and live him until I moved away.
Art will always be in our hearts. I’ll forever be thankful for his presence in my life, and for being so supportive of his grandchildren when their parents passed away.
Any support will help the family. Thank you so much in advance.
