Fundraising for BOW along my pursuit of 8 Bridges
Tax deductible
This year I'll be attempting to complete the 8 Bridges Swim, 120 miles from Catskill to Staten Island, down the Hudson River over seven consecutive days. This is the longest staged marathon swim in the world. Alongside this pursuit, I wanted to hold a fundraiser for the public charity that I created last year, Beavertail Open Water.
More information about Beavertail Open Water: Beavertail Open Water is a domestic 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that provides safety, support and funding for open water swimming events (namely the Around Beavertail Swim in Jamestown, RI) while funding and advocating for better stewardship of Rhode Island State’s natural water resources and promoting the conservation of these waters. Beavertail Open Water uses all net proceeds and fundraising to accept applications for and allocate grants to the local conservation, science and research community. Their goal is to support researchers, professors, and Masters & PhD students with the funding they need to pursue research, projects, programs and initiatives of conservation.
