D.J. McLeod is a rising senior at Laney High School and a starter on the football team. But this year, #32 will not be able to play. He was diagnosed with a sarcoma - a rare form of cancer - in his stomach this past week.

 

His mother, Ashanti Craine, has been traveling weekly from Wilmington to UNC Health System in Raleigh while also trying to raise her three other children.

 

The purpose of this fundraiser is to help ease the burden of those travel expenses and the medical bills that are soon to come.
