I would like to raise funds to support my family and friends in Lebanon, who are enduring unimaginable hardship due to the ongoing conflict. After hearing their cries for assistance and witnessing the devastation they face—losing everything they’ve worked for and struggling to afford basic necessities—I felt compelled to take action.
Their lives have been shattered; they can’t work, have been forced to evacuate their homes, and are now living in overcrowded conditions with over 25 people in a small flat. Each day is a fight for survival, with the constant threat of violence causing immense fear, especially for the children.
Many have run out of medication, and with no safe means to leave Lebanon, they must sit and wait for the next disaseter to fall. The economic crisis has made a dire situation even worse. Basic resources like water, electricity, and internet are scarce. People are forced to pay to have generators on for two hours just to be able to re-freeze the food in the freezer and have a warm shower with a lamp on.
Landlords are demanding exorbitant rents—over $3,000 for a small studio room that would typically cost $150—while the average monthly wage is just $100. The struggle for survival is overwhelming.
The horrors they face are beyond description, as they start from scratch in a place that offers no safety. We all see the suffering unfolding around the world, and it’s painful to feel powerless.
But we can make a difference. I urge anyone who is financially able to contribute, no matter how small, to help us provide essential support to these families.
