Fundraising for Guatemala Mission Trip 2023!

Hey there! My name is Drew Arend, and I'm a current sophomore at Texas A&M. I've been blessed with the opportunity to be a part of such a great group of guys called Aggie Men's Club. It's a social and service men's organization on campus and, every year, we go visit our philanthropy, Kairos Christian School, in Guatemala to help serve their community, play with the kids, and spread the gospel! We go during spring break in March with a desire to change lives while building homes and volunteering at the school.

At our job site this past year, there was a boy named Carlos whom I was able to play with for the duration of the week and although I could understand him very little, we were able to communicate through the universal language of "play". There's something so unique about that language and the joy and contentment people can find in the Lord despite living in such poverty. Although we're building homes, it's so much more than that.

The experience left its mark on my heart throughout this past year, and it was a sweet reminder of why we raise money for them back in College Station.
