Harsh's Paralysis Treatment

I, one of Harsh's friends who was present during the incident, am writing this story to seek help.

Harsh suffered a tragic accident on March 10th that resulted in a fractured upper cervical spine, leaving him paralyzed from the neck down, including his breathing muscles. Harsh was immediately put on life support, and he underwent spinal surgery after spending 36 hours in the hospital. However, even with all the medical interventions, he still couldn't breathe on his own. After three weeks of no improvement, he had a tracheostomy surgery, and a temporary pacemaker was inserted as his heartbeat kept dropping, requiring CPR to be administered at times.

Harsh, a bright 20-year-old international student studying at Sheridan College, arrived in Canada just seven months ago to pursue studies in the field of IT. Harsh has always been an energetic guy with the courage to take on anything, but sometimes luck hits hard. It has been four weeks since the accident, and our friend is still fighting for his life. Through no fault of his own, Harsh has found himself in this situation. Every day is a battle, and we're all praying and hoping for his recovery.

So far, Harsh's expenses have been covered by his student insurance. However, the insurance company pressured his parents to have him sent back to India by the week of April 10th, where he doesn’t have any insurance coverage. He arrived in India on April 13th. Harsh will require intensive care treatment (ICU) and to support his recovery from paralysis, we also need financial assistance for a good spinal rehabilitation facility with skilled therapists who can work on improving his mobility and overall physical function. We understand that this is a huge financial burden for Harsh and his family, and we want to do everything we can to help. But despite our efforts, we need additional help to ensure our friend receives the best possible treatment.
