Fundraising for MMIR Walk for Justice June 23rd-30th
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Camryn Hannigan and my friend Nikk Goodswimmer, who is a dedicated MMIR and houseless advocate here in Edmonton often volunteering with Bear Claw Beaver Hills House, is organizing a crucial event to support Indigenous rights here on Turtle Island.
June 23rd-June 30th, there will be a Walk for Justice to memorialize and raise awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives (MMIR) here on Turtle Island. This walk will go from Edmonton down to Calgary, and we are looking to take care of all of our participants while they undertake this meaningful journey.
We are asking for the community to please donate whatever they can to help ensure that for the latter half of our journey, we have enough funds to ensure everyone has adequate food, water, and supplies to participate.
Nikk has promised that any unused funds will go directly back to the community, particularly Indigenous-led initiatives.
Please help me in supporting my friend and their beautiful mission to uplift the voices of MMIR and their families.
