Fundraising for my next film

Hi there!

I'm launching this campaign to raise $5,000 for my next proof-of-concept short film, Mute, shooting August 21st and 22nd. Premise: In a world where words cost money, a woman saves up for her first word in the hope of standing up to her abuser.

During the pandemic, I wrote and directed the 21-minute film Eve, which was selected and showcased at the LA Shorts International Film Festival, one of 26 US-based Oscar-qualifying film festivals.

Furthermore, my film Faces won an American Visions and Voices Award, the highest honor in annual Scholastic Art and Writing Awards (only 140 of 320,000 submissions were awarded in 2020).

In addition, I also co-founded the company Scriptopic, where I've edited more than two hundred videos for directors seeking promotion and publicity, including Alma Har'el, Dom Fera, Katie Boland, and most recently Doug Roland (director of Oscar-nominated Feeling Through).

Though my family promised to support me, I am self-funding this entire film because I truly believe in the concept and that it will be very successful and eventually turned into a feature. Over the summer, I've managed to earn over $5,000 through chess tutoring, but with Mute budgeted at $18,000, your support, however small, would mean so much.
