Fundraising for Orchard Organic Farm

Orchard Organic Farm
Beautiful Orchard Organic Farm is a remarkable place at the heart of our community in Stokeinteignhead. It is more than just a farm, it also offers nature and farm school programs for local children and schools, providing a space for children, parents, and community members to connect and be together.
Unfortunately, this week, they received the devastating news that avian flu has been confirmed among their chickens. As a result, the Animal and Plant Health Agency will cull all 5,000 of their birds by the end of the week.
Jerry and Emma are all-around incredible humans. Over the past fifteen years, they have invested everything into building the farm, and this news is too heartbreaking to put into words.
How we can help
Unfortunately, the farm has to dispose of £7,000 worth of eggs and £5,000 worth of chicken feed because they are no longer allowed to sell or use them. Additionally, they must incur the costs of incinerating 23,000 eggs. These are just the initial costs, as they will also need to consider how to move forward without any income from their hens. They were unable to get insurance for avian flu for their organic units, it was simply too difficult and prohibitively expensive to secure.
Let's see what we can do to help them through this tragedy; any donation will help them.
