Fundraising for our friend Chuck Heinold
Donation protected
I am writing this to you today as a friend of Chuck Heinold. If you are reading this and you are lucky enough to call him a friend, then you would agree with me that he is the guy you can call at 2 am and he will jump out of bed and be there for you, no questions asked. It is a rare trait that we do not see enough in people these days.
And so that is why I am reaching out to you today. This time it is Chuck that needs us, and he isn’t asking for help, well because that is just the kind of guy he is.
In the early part of July, Chuck found out that he had a growth in his pancreas, and it was cancer. It should come as no surprise to anyone that knows Chuck that he is approaching this with positivity, a big smile on his face and a kick cancers ass attitude!
But, even with the most amazing and positive attitude, bills pile up and that is something you shouldn't have to worry about when you are getting better.
I was scrolling through Chuck's Facebook page to grab some photos for this, and it became so obvious to me how loved he is by so many family and friends. Chuck has that way of making you feel comfortable and welcome in any situation. He is one of the friendliest and most genuine people I have ever had the pleasure to be friends with.
A mutual friend shared this with me about Chuck – “Chuck is definitely the guy that when trouble arrives, he meets it leading the pack. He’s always the first to deliver food, drinks, and transportation in times of need. When I was in my car accident, he would come and get me once a week and drive me to the doctor because I wasn’t able to drive myself.”
Yup… that is Chuck in a nutshell.
With chemo scheduled for 12 rounds, every other week, as well as his Type 2 Diabetes, well, Chuck cannot work.
Chuck has so much more to give to this world with his kindness. I would like to think that by raising these funds for him it will make life a little easier for him and his beloved Lisa, as he recovers.
We are all sending our love and prayers to our favorite "Damitman".
