Our mission is to provide shelter and a safe home - a sanctuary - to animals both domestic and exotic, providing the care and quality of life needed to rehabilitate injured or abused farm animals, reptiles, and exotics. Rescue Tails Animal Sanctuary works to provide both permanent and temporary homes to any animal in need of a second chance.

As the winter months approach and cold weather rolls in along with the holiday season, we are approaching a critical period that most non-profit animal rescues face - the need to shore up funding to ensure we are fully prepared with all of the necessary supplies and equipment that we need to guarantee the best care possible for our animal residents. With the winter months comes an increased need for hay and stable bedding due to the animals being unable to forage and spending more time indoors to remain warm and comfortable. They require heaters, blankets, additional pellet feed and far more hay than when they can graze all day. These costs add up dramatically, and as a small non-profit, the Rescue Tails Animal Sanctuary team often ends up going out of pocket on expenses to make sure the animals are provided for.

Non-profit animal charities like Rescue Tails Animal Sanctuary survive on the generosity of donors and the passion and dedication of their teams, but it is often hard to make ends meet when there is an unending stream of animal abuse cases and rescues coming in. Vet care, socialization, food, enrichment, upkeep...the list of costs unfortunately goes on. Abused and rescued animals have greater need than most pets, in both time investment and the costs of rehabilitation. We do our best to ensure that every animal is given the rest, recovery, and medical care that they need to give them a true second chance at a life after abuse.

Our mission is to provide homes to the abused and abandoned animals of the world, educate about the importance of animal welfare, and increase awareness of the uncountable number of animal victims of abuse around the country and the world. We are raising this money to help cover costs for all of the animal's needs. Due to some major changes to a prominent donor platform wiping out a huge donor base for us, and other animal charities the country over, we are in need of help to offset those lost donations while we seek alternative donor platforms and rebuild our amazing community. All donations are put directly into the care and feeding of the animals, covering costs for food, equipment, veterinary care, and husbandry needs. 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal charities often struggle even at the best of times. The loss of donors due to corporate changes is devastating. We can recover, but we need your help to do it.
