Fundraising for Uncle Mark - Terminal Cancer
Donation protected
My uncle Mark was diagnosed with terminal cancer 3 years ago and surpassed doctors recent predictions that he wouldn’t make it through Christmas. We are blessed he is still with us today and thankful he was able to join us through the holidays and into the New Year.
I'm starting a GoFundMe account to help raise money for his family during these difficult times. Mark has been married to his wonderful wife, Tammy, for more than forty years. They have 5 beautiful children and 5 amazing grandchildren. Mark is a retired, decorated Marine who served our country for more than twenty years. Many times, Mark was deployed for 6 months at a time to another country while his family waited for his return.
Over twenty years ago, Mark's son Brent was hit by a driver who ran a red light. Brent was in his early twenties and just finished 4 years of active duty serving our country in the Army. After coming out of a coma since the accident, Brent is reliant on a wheel chair. Mentally and spiritually, he is perfect. Mark has been his main caretaker since the accident, dedicating his life to care for Brent and his family.
Of all Mark's beautiful qualities as a son, brother, husband, father and grandfather his devotion to being a Christian and love for Jesus is by far his brightest star in life. His youthfulness and spirit reflect someone who's excited to live every day to his fullest. His loving, caring presence and as the back bone of his family, it'll be a very hard and challenging transition for everyone, especially his family, to move forward in life when Mark leaves this world for heaven. There are no words to prepare for such a loss. Thank you so much for your prayers and consideration, any donation is greatly appreciated.
