Fundraising money for a Dental Mission Outreach

Happy New Years! I hope everyone is doing well. I was 1 of 10 fourth year dental students (there's 118 students in my class) to get selected to participate in an outreach over spring break (March 20-26, 2022) in the Dominican Republic. 7 of us are going, and we will be volunteering in a charity clinic in the the Haitian Migration camps. I am fundraising $2,000 to go towards flights, room and board, transportation to the mission sites, and mission expenses.

 

It's a privilege to be apart of this since the school is finally offering this opportunity after 2 years. My clinical experience unfortunately has been extremely limited in the last 2 years due to the very strict rules and regulations of the University and NY state. This would be an amazing way to strengthen my clinical skills before I graduate this May.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My brother, Dr. Sean Chechang, was able to participate in his school's dental mission trip to the Dominican Republic when he was in school. Him and his classmates, over 3 days, were able to treat >500 patients by doing 546 fillings, 278 surgeries, 221 perio procedures, 44 dentures, 10 root canals, and 126 sealants.
