Help Bailte Slachtmhara Bhearna
Donation protected
It’s been over 18 months since we held a fundraising drive for Bailte Slachtmara Bhearna. We are so grateful to the community for supporting our efforts.
Without funds we can’t continue the work we have done to date. In the last 18 months we have purchased equipment such as lawnmower and tools to maintain our common areas. Built benches, flower boxes, renovated and planted the ball alley. We also have insurance costs to ensure our volunteers are covered as they are out litter picking or maintaining our village. I think everyone will agree that the works carried out to date have made a big impact in the village and that benefits the residents, the businesses and visitors.
We announced a couple of months ago that we were fortunate to have been granted a grant by the Heritage council to significantly restore Tobar Eanna. This involves restoring the stone boundary wall, replacing missing gate, information signage, replacement of gravel and other works, all of which will cost close to 13K. The grant will cover 10K of this which will leave us with a shortfall of 3K. In addition to this we hope to raise funds to continue our improvements in the village in the next 12 months.
We appreciate every euro donated, and every donation is a recognition that the local community is behind us in our efforts to improve the village.
Thanking you all in advance
