Funds for Chase Heritage Fire Survivors

Donation protected
On April 30, a fire at the Chase Heritage Apartments in Sterling, VA burned down 20 apartment units. These families have been left with none of their belongings, and with nowhere to go. They are all low-wage workers in Loudoun County without savings or a safety net. Please donate what you're able to help to get these families back on their feet.

Funds raised will be distributed evenly between the 16 families that we have managed to contact to use as they need through direct cash transfers or money orders. Each family will be able to use the funds to fit their needs, be it for food, clothing, furniture or temporary shelter. If we hit our goal of $15,000, each of the 16 families would have $937 to meet their needs. The families will decide together when to withdraw funds raised, and we will update donors as they do so.
