Funds for Famous Adan
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Eden Perez. I am making this fundraiser for my dad, Adan. In January of this year we rushed my dad to the ER due to excruciating pain In his back that made him unable to walk on his own. weeks later he was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. He Immediately started radiation therapy but since then has been hit hard from the side effects leaving him very weak and unable to eat therefore unable to continue his treatment. On march 14 his oncologist team said the type of cancer is still unknown due to further mutations from cancer cells making them unrecognizable from their original makeup material, pushing them to conclude that it is incurable.
I am asking for financial support to cover medical costs, legal fees owed as we have been in the process of acquiring citizenship for him for years now. And also prepare ourselves for end of life costs.
Any money that is over our goal will be given to my grandparents. My dad’s original motive for coming to the U.S was to help provide for his parents and he has continued to do so all these years while also building a life for my mother, brother and I. I have promised to continue to support and take care of my grandparents therefore any money that exceeds the goal will go to them.
My father has always been a hardworking man, someone I have always admired. He came to this country with nothing and began working two sometimes three jobs as many immigrants do. But through his hard work has built a life he can be proud of where he has provided for his family here as well as his parents. If you’re wondering why the title says “Famous Adan” it is because for the last 20 years he has been a member of the Famous Dave’s team. He was one of the original team members that helped open the Famous Dave’s location in Westland. You can even find him in the photo gallery’s in both Westland and Taylor Famous Dave’s. for the past 10 years he has been a kitchen manager training new team members. But he has been more than a manager, he has been a mentor to many. I can’t tell you how many times I have seen him help out team members with their car troubles outside the Famous Dave’s parking lot, no matter the weather he would get his tool kit from his truck ready to help anyone in need. My dad has always been selfless and would put the needs of others before his. Even now when faced with this awful illness he wasn’t worried about himself we would see him deep in thought and we would asked if he was afraid of dying and he would say no, he was afraid of what would happen to us his family as well his parents who he hasn’t seen In over 20 years. But I have promised to take care of my mom and brother and my grandparents in his stead and I am determined to do so, and that is why I am asking for help.
I humbly ask that you share this link with friends and family. Ask them to send their love and support if they’re able to. Anything is greatly appreciated.
Sincerely-The Perez Family
