Funds for FF Shane Evans

We are a team of Firefighters based at Newport Station within Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service. We are not only a team but one big family.

 

Our colleague Shane was diagnosed with Cancer earlier this year, he has undergone Chemotherapy , radiotherapy and surgery. We have now been told the devastating news that his Cancer is no longer curable.  

Updated 3/2/22 It’s not an update we ever wanted to make, but Shane lost his fight with Cancer and passed away yesterday. Please keep his family, friends and colleagues in your thoughts at this heartbreaking time

 

We want to support Shane and his young family through their most difficult time imaginable. We want to reduce the financial pressures and provide opportunities for Shane to carry out the items on his bucket list, and make as many memories with his family by fundraising. We will be completing a variety of activities not only to fundraise but to keep Shane's spirits up!

 

We are hoping to fundraise and have the funds available as soon as possible to give Shane one less thing to worry about, and he can focus on the important things; his family.

 

Shane is part of our fire family, rest assured we've got you pal. We are here to support you and we welcome other teams and services to get involved #firefamily

We will be doing a variety of challenges over the coming weeks and months to raise as much as possible.

Our first challenge will be a 24hour cycleathon at our Station in January 2022. Please support us by sharing or donating if you can!
