Funds for my Dad's welfare clinic
Donation protected
My Dad, Dr. Ahsan Salim is a pediatrician in Karachi, Pakistan. Despite having multiple opportunities to work in elite hospitals and medical centers, he opted to work in one of the most poverty-striken areas of Karachi - Orangi Town.
He has worked in a small privately established clinic for over 30 years now. Patients are charged very nominal fee for healthcare and some of them are taken care of completely free of charge. Dad has been striving to make his clinic expand into a hospital and provide more services to the poor of Pakistan. I have never seen him get demotivated or tired of his work and his enthusiasm for his clinic and services still shines through his attitude every single day.
And why wouldn't it? Wouldn't you smile too if you had to take care of these adorable children every day?
He is now trying to purchase some new equipment (such as EKG machine) and oxygen extractor machine for his patients. Also, the clinic requires a bigger generator to run things smoothly in times of (frequent) power failures in the city. With this equipment, he will be able to serve more patients (because he has to turn them away due to lack of it) who cannot afford expensive healthcare.
Please help my Dad serve the poor patients in Pakistan. Those people really need help and the clinic requires Rs. 300,000 (~ $3000) per month to run smoothly. These funds will go a long way to make medical facilities a little bit more affordable for the poor and provide them with more services than they are getting now.
Thank you.
