We are walking to raise funds for New Dawn Primary school in Uganda.
New Dawn Nursery and Primary school is delighted to announce that all of our P7 students performed better than the government school last month; the goal we set out to achieve when we initiated this school 6 years ago, and we are proud that we have been able to give these children a better start in life. We now want to be able to impact more children’s’ lives and improve their education by constructing 2 new classrooms, plus a multimedia/IT centre to further enrich their education.
It is based on this need that we are inviting you to our new fundraising journey as we walk 20 miles in the Quantock Hills to raise funds to construct this new classroom block. We took to walking as many of our children walk miles either to get drinking water, look for firewood or even to go to the market to be able to sell their family produce.
New Dawn is now even more vital for this community at a time like this. Due to Covid-19, children have been out of school for almost 2 years. In addition, their parents have been driven into greater poverty due to the strict Ugandan lockdown and the inability to operate their small businesses. So please help us achieve our goal so we can give these children a new hope for the future.
