On October 7th 2018, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroendocrine Cancer of the Pancreas. I was told it was unoperable and I would have to be treated with enzyme shots for however long they could extend my life. They hoped from 5 to 10 years. There is no cure for this type of cancer, and is very rare. This is the exact type of cancer Steve Jobs had.  On October 29th, a surgical oncologist at Gibbs Cancer Center declared I was a candidate for the “Whipple” surgery; which will make me cancer free once it is completed. This type of surgery is very complicated, and requires a long recovery time. This surgery is only an option for a short time, and I am scheduled to undergo this procedure on November 8th. All prayers have been answered up to this point, in just being able to have this removed. I’ve been told for weeks it cannot be. PLEASE KEEP THOSE PRAYERS COMING. They work and the first week of my diagnosis they did not believe I would live but a few months. The staff had me diagnosed with the wrong type cancer, and it was a very traumatic experience. I am self employed, and own The Center For Counseling in Greer SC. I was in the process developing the non for profit Pathways to success, when this happened. I need funds for medical procedures, and to keep my business, home, and non for profit in good standing financially. Many people are helped through the organizations I have built, and want to make sure they continue to operate regardless of my health issues.
