Funds for the children of Amanda Baxter

Donation protected

Hi, my name is Angie Evans (Rodriguez), and it's with a heavy heart that I'm writing this today, along side my cousins Nadine and Selena.

Last night, my cousin Amanda Baxter, unexpectedly passed away at her home in Lynnwood, Washington. Her family is devastated to say the least, but most of all her two youngest boys, Auggie & Percy are now without their rock. Amanda was someone who had gone through more than most humans could ever tolerate, and yet she never gave up. She always overcame, no matter how long it took, and she always remained open hearted. She was an emotional refuge for so many of us. I believe it's her 4 kids (Nadine, Selena, Auggie, and Percy) and her strong faith in God that helped her to do that, to never quit, to always keep going, and to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

We don't have all the answers right now, and are still in shock with such a sudden loss. We are so thankful these boys have two incredible older siblings to help carry the weight, but they're going to need support. I would never write something like this, especially during the holidays, if it weren't incredibly important and very, very necessary.

Augusta (Auggie) is 17 years old and is a very talented football player, currently filling out college applications for next Fall. Amanda was his #1 fan, they LOVED talking about football, his worries, his dreams, and cooking together. Their relationship was extremely special.

Percival (Percy) is 9 years old and a very happy go lucky little boy. He loves video games, watching movies with his mom. He loved when Amanda would take him and his friends swimming. She was such a present mother, and Percy was lucky enough to be on the receiving end of that.

The top priorities are housing expenses and food (if you'd like more specifics on that, please direct message me). Amanda lived paycheck to paycheck and was not only working, but going to school as well to hopefully get herself in a better position financially for her family. She had finished her Real Estate Course and was getting ready to take her test. If you've ever been a single mom, or had to dig yourself out of a hole, you know what this position feels like. It does not allow you to put a plan in place for emergencies such as this.

We are also in need of funds for funeral and cremation costs for Amanda. She unfortunately, like a lot of us, did not have life insurance or money set aside for this. If you're able to donate in any way, even if it's not direct funds, it would be greatly appreciated and would absolutely be used and appreciated.

We have this Go Fund Me setup, as well as a Venmo account if that's an option for you (saves us fees from the website). The handle is @AmandaBaxterGoFundMe.

I will personally be managing the money, along side Selena Moore, and making sure it is put into the proper hands. I know that is sometimes a worry with fundraising like this, not knowing exactly where your help is going to. On behalf of the entire family, we thank you.
